October 24, 2005: "Phil: it was so great to meet you tonight as well as my other brothers. I must say, it really feels so much better to leave the past behind and move forward in this life with the fellowship of others who have promised their life to Jesus as well. I also want to comment on how well you handled the "unsettled one" during last night's net. You exhibited great calm and poise and I'm sure the Father was/is very proud of your actions in that event. Keep up the great work/life Phil, we're all enriched to be able to say we walk with you and share your love for the Father". KB3LYA Mac in Pennsylvania.
January 9, 2006: "Phil, my name is Martin. I really enjoy listening to your net. I am a Tech studying for my General. I came across your net and I think it's dynomite. Just wanted to say keep it up and I thank you for what you're doing. 73's and God bless, oh yeah...hope to be able to talk with you on the air ways some day." W3MLK Martin in Delaware.
January 14, 2006: "Dear Phil, my name is Jim and I live in NY. I have listened to the Spirit Net a few times and thought I'd drop you a note to tell you I enjoy listening to the net. I think it is great that the Lord is using you to build up the believers that are on the air, as well as sharing the Gospel in your Youth ministry." AB2KW
March 22, 2006: "Hello Phil. Awesome! Enjoy listening to you all on Shortwave radio. Your doing a great thing there. Bless you for working with children too! God is writing your love story. You persevere!" Ray in Pennsylvania.
March 29, 2006: "Dear friends, try to listen every evening although I am just a Tech. Hope to upgrade and join in this summer. Appreciate the QSL card. Wasn't expecting one, it will be a great reminder of the Lord's work through you all. I am blessed way back here in Ohio that you are doing God's work in Maryland. A real breath of Spirit filled fresh air in a time of increasing darkness among America's people. Keep the faith my brother!" W8RGE Rick in Ohio.
April 12, 2006: "Just wanted you to know that I do enjoy the Spirit Net and have been listening for the past few weeks. I hope to join the net when I do get my wire up in the trees once again. I too appreciate your being there and what you do for the guys that are active on the net. I hope to meet you on the air soon." N2QBN Ray in New Jersey.
October 2, 2006: "Some spirited but interesting discussion tonight my friend! Actually, I like to hear people come in with different views, even those that are obviously wrong because it means there are people listening and asking questions. For me, that is exciting knowing that the Word is getting out there. Great work Phil." W8RGE Rick in Ohio
December 12, 2006: "Hi Phil, I just wanted to tell you I enjoy listening to you guys on the Spirit Net. I am a licensed ham but currently hold a Tech plus but I'm now studying for my General class so hopefully I will soon be able to join in. I am a born again Christian so I am anxious to chat with you sometime soon. Thanks for spreading the Word. I was listening on my computer tonight which is real nice too. I will keep your net in my prayers and pray it helps spread the Gospel of Jesus on the ham airwaves. God bless you. A listener (soon hopefully a participant)." WB3IVW John in Pennsylvania
January 17, 2007: "Hi Phil. Thank you for the nice welcome to the Spirit Net. I have been looking for a net like this. I need the fellowship and discipline to study the Bible daily. The more I give my life to Jesus the more joy I have. Looking forward to being a part of the Spirit Net." K2BE Carl in New Jersey.
January 29, 2007: "I gotta tell you my friend that I am excited about all the new folks checkin' into the net. This is just wonderful that God is leading these folks to the net. In the six months that I listened before I could talk and the past year that I have had my ticket I have never heard so many new and excited guys check in. God knows what you have been through with your Mom and tonight was another wonderful affirmation given by God I firmly believe, to boost your spirit and affirm that the work you have been called to do is bearing fruit. Halelluia!" W8RGE Rick in Ohio.
March 5, 2007: "Hello Phil, First off I'd like to say that I enjoyed Sunday night's Spirit Net and am very happy that you can copy my 100 watt station. I am convinced that who God calls, God qualifies and I was very interested in hearing about your background. The Bible version discussions did go off to one side but I did appreciate how you reeled things in and got the group back on track. I pray for you too Phil and want nothing but the best for the Spirit Net and it's regular participants. Anyway, I just wanted to drop you a quick line to let you know there are a lot of us less radical participants out there in the ether. God bless you and yours." N3JLW Jack in Pennsylvania.
March 5, 2007: "Phil, thank you for what you are doing. I admire how you kept your cool with John Sunday night." K5KSB Keith in Arkansas.
March 7, 2007: "Phil, I've been listening to your 9:30pm program off and on for the last couple of weeks. I don't have my Amateur Radio License, I just listened on shortwave. Anyway, I just wanted to encourage you to keep up what you're doing. I've been a Christian since I was a teen and I'm 41 years old now and I definitely felt I was hearing a true brother when I first heard your program. Tonight you had to deal with a guy named John, who was very argumentative and difficult to deal with, and I wanted to let you know I think you handled it very well. It's been a blessing to listen to your broadcast. Hopefully sometime I will be able to get my license, some equipment and maybe actually join the conversation and fellowship that you all have on 3905. Be encouraged!" Brett in New York.
March 8, 2007: "There were some guys who seem to need to try to flex their pseudo intellectual muscles and want to impress the rest of us with their apparent Bible knowledge. I guess my question is this: if they are so knowledgeable in the writings in the Bible why then didn't either of them work to have an established activity similar to what you have worked so hard to do with the Spirit Net? I realize that I am a newcomer to the group but I feel very strongly about the validity and necessity of what you're doing. It (the Spirit Net) is very important to me and I feel like it is a personal attack when someone tries to distract you or the Net. What I'm trying to say to you is that, even though you are perhaps used to this kind of behavior, please don't be discouraged at having to fend off these kinds of skirmishes. You have several Bible believing followers and I hope you can see our support in some form or another. Thank you brother for what you do. God will honor your labors. I'm sorry those guys reveled in trying to back you into a corner. You surely projected a much calmer demeanor that I ever could have given the same situation. Hang in there Phil!" N3JLW Jack in Pennsylvania.
March 28, 2007: "Phil, I have been listening to you on the Spirit Net for a couple of weeks and I enjoy what I hear and you are doing a great thing. I am a Christian and have been for a long time. I read the prayer on the Spirit Net website and what you're doing for those kids is really good." K4DIZ Jeff in Tennessee
April 8, 2007: "Hello Phil. I enjoyed your net tonight. I really enjoyed the testimonies. I fully support what you're doing. It's nice to know we have other Christians trying to use Ham radio as a conduit to reach others. This was the first time I heard the Spirit Net. I normally don't go up on 80 meters too often. I've been praying for guidance and wisdom for my Ham radio outreach called ICE. I believe God was telling me to check out 80 meters and, within a few minutes, I found your net. God's way of telling me to keep going, there are others using the radio to spread the message. I was unable to break through but now that I found your net I'll keep listening. Until then, keep up the good work." K4ICE Dwight in Florida.
April 16, 2007: "I ran upon the Spirit Net by accident several nights ago. I've been off of HF for sometime. I look forward to erecting a new dipole for 80 later this week and will check in as soon as I can. The net is an inspiration to me. I cannot tell you how much I enjoy listening to it. It has filled a big void in my life. It gives me strength to go on when I'm discouraged. I can feel the Lord's presence when we're on the air. I just wanted you to know that your efforts are appreciated. We have gone through the similar problems so we know about loneliness and heartbreak. You are to be commended for your work with young people. I realize that I need to find a nitch and do more for the kingdom of God. Although I've read the Bible over the years, our discussions and the Lord's revelations have opened my eyes to much new knowledge. I feel privileged to be part of this group. God bless you and your ministry." AC4ZE Chip in North Carolina.
April 17, 2007: "Phil, I am 18 years old and a senior in Morgantown, West Virginia. I've been listening to the Spirit Net the last few nights and really appreciate the discussions and reading on the air. I hope to jump in with you guys as soon as the homework lets up a little bit. I used to think of Christianity as the thing we did on Sunday. It's amazing how how your life can change when you make God your top priority and realize that everything has relation to the Lord. Anyway, I appreciate what you do on the net." KC8ZQS Matt in West Virginia.
July 2, 2007: "Phil, thanks for another good study tonight. Sorry I can't get to you very well. I really like the net. I've been lacking in Scripture reading for about 8 months and by finding the net it's got me back to it. So keep up the good work. I'm listening even though I can't reach you for comments." N8RAS Roger in Michigan.
July 3, 2007: "Approximately 2 weeks ago I was able to get back onto the HF bands. Upon listening, I came across the Spirit Net and was impressed the first night I heard the net. As such. I've been listening each night since first hearing the group. I would like to take this opportunity to say that I am truly impressed with the Spirit Net and how most everyone will jump in with some form of comment. The group participation is great. You have personally done a fine job coordinating the net as well." KC3TO Sam in Maryland.
December 29, 2007: "Phil, I'm listening to your QSO on 80 meters and I have really enjoyed it. You guys are doing great work. I am studying for my General so I can only listen for now." KG4QHF Don in North Carolina.
December 30, 2007: "Phil, let me once again return to a point I made previously. I am impressed with your response to those who come into the net with "interesting" theological backgrounds. (Tactful enough)? You continue to amaze me as to how you remain scripturally correct but without being confrontational in your approach. I like the way you deal with some tough Scriptural material without taking a side that can't be supported with Scripture. Your calling by God is evident in your ministry on the Spirit Net. God has really given you a gift and I thank you for your commitment to the spread of the Gospel through Amateur Radio." W3EZR Roger in North Carolina.
April 7, 2008: "Phil, I just wanted to say what a great ministry you have on the HF band. I just upgraded to General and now I have a chance to key up and say hi. When I first thought of getting my Ham ticket I felt the Lord leading me to some type of ministry on Ham Radio. I also listen on the internet and told my friends and my son to listen as well. God bless and keep on keeping on." KB2FMD Paul in New York.
June 7, 2008: "Phil, I am a Technician and have been listening to Ham Radio on my shortwave receiver. I caught your net Bible study on Genesis 1:1 and am at this moment listening to you via internet. I just wanted to tell you that this is a great ministry. I hope God continues to bless you in your ministry. Maybe one day I can join you via HF." KJ4BKF Greg in North Carolina.
July 9, 2008: "Phil, I just wanted to drop you a note to let you know how much I enjoy your evening Spirit Net. I am a DX shortwave listener and found your net one night while scanning the bands a few months back and I've been with you ever since. Keep up the good work, God bless." Now KJ4FZT Grant in Virginia.
August 18, 2008: "Phil, I found you by accident just tuning into the different stations on my Ham radio. I am not licensed yet but am starting classes in a few weeks. I do listen every night to your Bible readings and discussions. I have heard some very interesting discussions on your broadcast and am looking forward to joining in on them soon." Rod in Ohio.
September 26, 2008: "Hello from Rockwood Ontario. I've been tracking some shortwave stations with Christian broadcasting over the last while and came across your Spirit Net via the church in Orangeville Ontario. What a great concept having a Bible study / small group over the Ham frequencies. A friend loaned me a Kenwood R-2000 for a few weeks so am enjoying my first listen in session tonight. Sounds like your discussion is down to earth. :) Thank you for what you're doing. It makes Ham Radio worthwhile." Scott in Ontario.
January 1, 2009: "Hi Phil. I really feel the Lord has led me to the Spirit Net. I read my commentaries and follow along sometimes in two Bibles. I feel the net is a great thing and I have told several people about it. My prayers are with you and the Spirit Net." AG4SF Tom in Tennessee.
January 10, 2009: "Phil, I would like to thank you for hosting the Spirit Net. I do not pretend to be a real Christian in the full sense of the word but I do try to pray often and try to live by the golden rule. I think that I will start going back to church and see what I can learn and see what I can be in the eyes of God. Maybe the Lord had something to do with me tuning across the band and finding the Spirit Net. I do think I have a good background in the understanding of the Bible and will continue to read more of the Word of God. Thanks for the inspiration." KA5AFF Keith in Georgia.
February 17, 2009: "Hi Phil, my name is Jen. I've listened to the Spirit Net a few times but, unfortunately, I am not able to listen as much as I'd like because I am not a Ham operator and I do not always have access to the internet every night. My boyfriend told me about your program not too long after we had gotten together. When he and I first got together, I was going to church pretty regularly and thought I was pretty in touch with God. I've been saved. After my boyfriend told me about your program, I encouraged him a time or two to listen to it and he began to. Since then he has been saved, his prayer life has improved. I just wanted to thank you for doing what you do. So many people use technology for nothing but pure evil and it is good to know there are people using it for the will of God. I was listening to your program the other night especially the topic of possession and I agree with a lot of what you said. Again, I wish I could listen to your program more so keep up the awesome work...even if it seems like no one is listening. All the best and God bless." Jenny in North Carolina.
May 2, 2009: "Hi Phil, I just wanted to thank you for the work you are doing on the Spirit Net on 3905. Recently, I returned to Amateur Radio and happened upon the net one night and was thrilled to hear the Word being shared over the air. I admire your dedication to sharing the Word despite the interfering and heckling that you receive from time to time. In the time that I do have there is always something that I learn, pick up or is clarified from the discussion. Please keep up the good work and know there are a lot more people listening and benefiting from what you are doing on the Spirit Net than you may realize." N2JLM Mike in New Jersey.
May 2, 2009: "Hi Phil, just caught the tail end of the Spirit Net. What a great thing! I found it very uplifting. Thank you! Sometimes this world can really beat me down and I find it helps to get as much Christ centered input as possible. Now I can add Ham Radio as another input. I will try to listen as much as possible. All His best." W3TIM Tim in Virginia.
September 18, 2009: "Hi. I enjoy hearing you. I learned more hearing you than I did going to church. Your group sounds like good guys; keep it up. My wife came into the shack to clean and she said: turn up the volume, she liked what she heard". Dr. Thompson K3DRT
October 26, 2009: "Dear Phil. my name is Frank and I live in NC. I have listened to the Spirit Net a few times and I think you're doing a great job. I passed the word to about what you're doing to some friends in Puerto Rico and they are enjoying your program. Thanks for your hard work and I always listen either on the net or by radio. God bless you all". Frank WP4NZY
December 24, 2009: "I am one of those listeners who follows alone but I never report my call sign. It was great to be able to listen to the discussion and message tonight (Dec 24). You guys put out an invaluable, priceless message for all of us. Thanks to you and the other friends that discuss and go along with you on the air, you all make it possible for some of us to be a little closer and be able to learn about the word. Have a Merry Christmas and God bless you every day". Frank WP4NZY
February 11, 2010: "Very informative tonight, as always. I am listening to the net and moving closer to God; you are part of making that happen. I would like to get a copy of the notes you offered tonight. An excellent net and great way to discuss the verses". Frank WP4NZY
March 4, 2010: "Sometimes we face situations where people try to offend us due to their ignorance. In the military, I've seen many individuals that did not believe in God and every single one ended up calling the name of God while in the many fire fights we got into. Tonight the reason those guys felt comfortable calling names at the group is because they haven't seen death straight in the face. I spent a lot of time looking for the right group to learn about God and one night I turned the radio on and came across your group. I'm feeling as if I'm getting the right drink of water now. Every night I listen to the Spirit Net my thirst for the word of God grows and for the first time in my life I am able to understand a lot of unanswered questions like the one I asked you the other night. God bless you Phil; God bless the group and I pray every night so I stay with the group and get closer to God." Frank WP4NZY
March 7, 2010: "Run across your broadcast a while back when running around the band. Looking forward to checking in some night. Keep up the great job. With people like your group and the grace of God, maybe it's not too late to turn things around. We have to keep spreading the word, wake up and stand up America. Belief in God is what this country was founded on and we can't let them take it all away". Richard KD0HBS
April 10, 2010: "Phil, just to let you know how much I enjoy hearing your good, solid Bible teaching each night over the Spirit Net. My location is near Birmingham Alabama and have not tried checking in due to my low power. I have been saving up my pennies for an amplifier and may try to check in down the road. I check into other groups on 40 meters but especially enjoy your verse by verse teaching from God's Word. May the Lord richly bless your ministry as you seek to honor him". Matthew KJ4TN
April 19, 2010: "I am a general class ham and living in Lancaster PA. I was scanning 75 meters a while ago and heard your net. I am usually able to copy the net and hear most of the guys. I am also a Christian and have been looking for things to do with Amateur Radio that have more purpose to them. Perhaps I will try to check in sometime down the road. I appreciate your ministry on the air and hope that we can meet on the radio down the road. May God richly bless your ministry". Mark KB3NCJ
